Guidelines For Selecting A Project

The project should:

1. be a genuine issue, the resolution of which will assist the enterprise.
2. be able to be understood by Year 11 students.
3. be capable of significant progress or resolution within 5 days. As a minimum the students should be able to offer recommendations for further action.
4. be significant and challenging.
5. allow the Team to apply quality principles and tools, eg flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, etc.
6. It is essential that Teams be able to collect data as the basis for their analysis.

Have a look through our Information On Previous Years for some examples of projects tackled by students.
